An architectural framework for individual playing out one’s desires. This intervention creates architecture where users will be the ones to provide the final structure. A space of indeterminacy that are highly adaptable to the shifting needs and social conditions of its time and place.
How architecture responds to change?
This design thesis aim to explore the future role of community facilities by questioning the limit of the precise meaning. As the overly defined community facilities now doesn’t really suit the need of the community result in many redundant space, and it is hard to get everything right at the first place, nor predict the future. Therefore, how architecture can offer a spatial platform able to accommodate the continual change and evolution of social action for public housing community? This thesis seeks to reconstruct social oasis within public housing area by explore the Cedric Price’s theories of space of indeterminacy. It focuses on adaptability where people can ‘play’ up the space whenever they desire in the form of neighbourhood center.

The thesis intends to propose a neighbourhood center in Bandar Baru Sentul, Kuala Lumpur with communal and entertainment as nature of the module. A social interactive framework that is highly adaptable to the shifting cultural and social conditions of its time and place.
Incorporating indeterminate quality helps to break down the barrier of time and allow the flow of space giving flexibility to its user. Spaces within frames are open for interpretation which permits indeterminate uses. A framework allow for change. Giving a modular furniture/ kit of part, the community is encouraged to assemble and utilize the kit of part according to their needs. This intervention creates architecture where users will be the ones to provide the final structure.
Neighborhood center enables the flexible organization of space that adapts to various circumstances.
It can be sum as two main operators:
A) social progenitor
B) social stimulator

Collection System
Suggesting an alternate solution to the system by implementing better interface design for user experience, with an app application, it helps to facilitate the proper administration of system. So that the community are able to book the space and kit of part in advance, book a collection date and machinery they require.
Indeterminate Level
An open framework/platform come with different degree of indeterminacy and developed to allow for expansion and contraction at any point in the future.
Indeterminate Use
Structure and spatially open to accommodate various type of program, a spaces that allow for all day use.
